1. Information we use

When you create an account, we process your email address and authentication information. When you practise, we record question attempts and progress so you can review your answers. When you make a purchase, we use payment status and subject access information to provide the purchased content. We may also receive information you send to us by email.

2. Why we use it

We use this information to provide account access, remember progress, process purchases, deliver service emails, respond to enquiries, protect the service and resolve technical problems.

3. Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication and application data, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional emails and Vercel for hosting. These providers may process information to deliver their services. Payment card details are handled by Stripe rather than entered into LawByte Practice.

4. Storage and international processing

Our service providers may store or process information outside Malaysia. We take reasonable steps to use providers and access controls appropriate for the service.

5. Retention and requests

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, handle purchases and meet applicable obligations. You can email hello@lawbyte.io to request access to, correction of or deletion of your account information. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate record-keeping.

6. Browser storage

Authentication features may use browser storage to maintain your session. Our hosting and service providers may also process technical information needed for security and service operation.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above indicates when this version was last updated.
