Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of LawByte, an online platform providing practice questions and study resources.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LawByte, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Accounts
You may need an account to save progress and access purchased questions. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity on your account. Please provide accurate information when registering. Your account is for your personal use only. You must not share your login details or allow anyone else to use your account. If we confirm that your account has been shared, we will terminate it.
3. Free and paid content
LawByte may offer a selection of free questions and paid subject question banks. You are purchasing access to an online practice service, not ownership of the questions. Prices and the scope of access are displayed before purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe.
4. Cooling-off period and refunds
Once access starts, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds. If the content is faulty or not as described, contact hello@lawbyte.io.
5. Educational information
Content is provided for study and revision. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee any examination result. Although we aim to keep content accurate, legal rules and examination requirements can change. Check current official materials where appropriate.
6. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
All questions, answers, explanations, text, graphics, designs, branding and other original materials made available through LawByte Practice are owned by or licensed to LawByte and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Access grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content solely for your private educational purposes during the applicable access period.
Without our prior written consent, you must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit our content; share or upload substantial portions of our questions or explanations; systematically download, scrape, extract or compile question banks; share account credentials or allow others to access paid content through your account; or remove copyright notices or other proprietary markings.
We may investigate suspected unauthorised use and, where reasonably necessary, suspend or terminate access for material breaches of these Terms. We may take appropriate legal action to protect our intellectual property rights. Nothing in this section restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory copyright exceptions.
7. Availability and changes
We may correct questions, update explanations, add features or temporarily interrupt access for maintenance. If a material change affects purchased content, contact us so we can review the issue.
8. Your information
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is used to operate the service.
9. Contact
For account, access or purchase enquiries, email hello@lawbyte.io.
10. Limitation of Liability
LawByte Practice provides educational and revision materials intended to support preparation for the SQE.
Although we take reasonable care in preparing and maintaining our content, we do not guarantee that the materials are free from errors, cover every examinable topic or will result in any particular examination outcome.
LawByte shall not be liable for losses arising solely from a user’s reliance on the materials as a substitute for independent study, professional advice or current official examination guidance, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or that were not caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the law, regulatory requirements or the way LawByte operates. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
If you do not agree to proposed changes affecting your existing purchase, contact us at hello@lawbyte.io so we can terminate your account.
12. General terms
If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply so far as the contract can operate without that part.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, provided this does not reduce your contractual rights or the protections attached to your purchase. You may not transfer your account or purchased access to another person without our written agreement.
You may accept these Terms electronically. Electronic acceptance can form a binding contract without a handwritten signature.
